1959 Seventeen Magazine/Christmas Doll/Contest Kit

LISTED ON SUNDAY, MARCH 18, 2018 - VIEWED 288 TIMES
ong the wayIn 1959, Seventeen Magazine had a Christmas Doll contest and sent out boxes

containing a molded face and instructions, along witha tag to label the doll.

The instructions include a notice that a grand prize winner at each

Santa Store will receive a solid gold charm with a raised "17" on

one side and "Doll Contest Award - 1959" on the other.

This was a sponsored contest from Seventeen Magazine

"SEVENTEEN-AT-SCHOOL (Save the Children Federation) -1959 Group

Doll Making Contest."

Included is a cute molded, plastic, doll face, to be used in the assembly and

a diagram for making the doll

There was a sock included, but I managed to lose it, along the way.

Note* Overall condition, including the box is excellent...however, the Instruction sheet though in one piece is discolored and has an area where there are small holes.
