This is a complete issue of "The Household Magazine", published in 1941 for the month of July. It was published by Capper Publications, Incorporated of Topeka, Kansas. The cover image was taken by Horace Hine of Frank Lewis, Incorporated, photographers. This issue contains many articles of both fact and fiction by many authors, including Dorothy Nott Switzer, Lansing Christman, Fred Lape, Nelson Antrim Crawford, Owen Atkinson, Talbert Josselyn, Evelyn Wells, Zorada Z. Titus, Carrie Cartwright, Ida Ruth Younkin, and others. There are many black and white advertisements, and many print advertisements in full color. This magazine will appeal to anyone interested in the lives of regular American people during the wartime years. Collectors of graphic arts of this same period, along with those people that collect period advertising. Collectors of tobacco related advertising will find this magazine appealing too.
This issue of "The Household Magazine" is in good condition. There is some soiling, minor water damage to the rear cover, age-related darkening to the paper, and some minor chipping and shelf wear. The previous owner's name and mailing address is printed on the bottom right corner of the front cover, and I found no marks or other entries made by the previous owner. This issue is approximately 13 1/2" in height and 10 1/2" in width, and there are 24 numbered pages.
