This 1950s recipe book is another in a series of recipe books published by San Diego Gas & Electric Company as marketing giveaways. Mid-century, our local utility was pushing hard to hook everyone on the all-electric home of the future. Unfortunately, my parents bought into their marketing hype and went with electric major appliances, oven, range, water heater, and in later years, an electric dryer. Then, ...came deregulation, and my mom's electric bill went through the roof. Ok, the end of today's rant. This recipe will be appreciated by anyone that gets busy in the kitchen at holiday time, as will collectors of utility-published recipe books.
This book is in good condition. There are some, presumably, food stains. I found no marks made by previous owners, tears, creases, or missing pages. There are twenty numbered pages, and the book is approximately 8 1/2" in height and 5 1/4" in width.
Whenever possible, any purchased items will be shipped to you by USPS Priority Mail to protect you, the buyer and myself.
