Magnificent 80's pret-a-porter cape, made in France under the Givenchy 5 label. Fabulous reversible couture fabric is four-color mulberry/pumpkin/purple/black tweed with black soutache binding. Buttons down the front with original capsule-shaped buttons with loop closure, deep patch pockets, unlined. Walking length, fits many sizes.
Attached capelet/scarf is a unique and original design. When you raise the hood to cover your head, the scarf points wrap around the neck and hang down the back. Each point is gently weighted with a tassel. The original tassels were wool and I replaced then with a smoother and dressier tassel. Great for walking around town on a cool day: you can wear the hood down as a cape or flip up the hood to protect your hair from the wind and a little sprinkle, if it rains.
Made in France for Givenchy 5 (Givenchy Cinq), a pret-a-porter label of Givenchy, the couture house. Original labels attached. Gently worn on few occasions, in excellent condition. Received as a gift when I lived in NYC, but living in a hot climate now.
