This pretty sundress was home sewn in the late 1930s early 1940s. The fabric is a medium weight cotton. The dress is trimmed in BLACK cotton rick rack at the neckline and the skirt. The fabric has a novelty print of plaid baby whales in the colors WHITE, TOMATO RED and BLACK, on a RED background. COLORS MAY VARY BASED UPON YOUR MONITOR.
The dress has two straps, a full skirt, and it zips up the back with a functioning metal zipper. Shown with a crinoline petticoat that is not included. Necklace shown in the photos are for display only. The garment is not zipped up on the mannequin in our photos as it is slightly smaller than the mannequin in the waist area.
We pinned the garment to the mannequin to give an idea of fit. We laundered the dress in a mild soap, then line dried, ironed, and steamed it for photography. The fabric is strong and the colors are good. Will need a steam/press before wearing. PLEASE ZOOM IN ON ALL PHOTOS.
