This is a find from a local estate. Commercially made in the late 1950s, early 1960s, though no maker labels remain. Dress and jacket are made from what feels like a Poly Cotton fabric with a floral and foliage print of Dark Blue, Light Blue and Green, on a White background. The skirt is a form fitting straight pencil style skirt. The dress zips up the back with a metal zipper that is in good working order. There is a bow cumberbund at the waist of the dress and it is slightly more Blue Violet in color. The jacket is bolero style, cropped, with quarter length sleeves, has 5 fabric covered buttons and a snap fastener above the button placket. We laundered the garment in Woolite to remove storage dust. We found no holes, tears or stains. The fabric is strong and the colors are good. Will need to be steamed/pressed again prior to wearing. A very cute outfit!
