We have this oil painting of a glamorus woman sitting on stone steps in the moonlight. She has a martini in hand and is bedecked in jewels. The painting is in very good condition, though there is a very small area of paint loss on the woman's forehead. I measured the picture at 15-3/4" tall x 35-1/4" wide and 1" thick.
This was an Estate Sale Find and the only real info available was it was purchased in the late eighties. The picture was set up by a cool stereo on the wall where the window light would hit it. I grabbed a few books and got this strangely attractive oil painting on my way out.
The stone stairs are a blueish-gray. The woman's dress is a reddish brown or burgundy. She appears to be in a castle of sorts in Europe or the Middle East. The million dollar question is what it she thinking about? Could this be a print on canvas? Since I can't answer the above questions the price was kept low. The work itself no matter what it is, is eye fetchingly attractive.
