A Donabe is used by the Japanese for modern and traditional clay pot cooking.
It is a beautifully hand painted piece of Japanese pottery with cherry blossoms in colors of brown, green, yellow and red.
Circa early to mid 1930's
A cook and serve dish traditionally used to make a nabemono, a deliciously perfect Japanese soup, they are now also used for rice, meats, vegetables and even casseroles.
It is in near perfect vintage condition. It does still have the usual amount of wear that would be expected to see from a vintage item such as this.
