Vintage #860/Top Notch ''National Washboard''

From the mid-1950's, comes this authentic, "National Washboard" Model #860 Manufactured By: The Glass King, made in the U.S.A. The laymen's name for this particular washboard, was "Top Notch", as it was a notch above all other boards, of that time. Constructed from wood and glass, (a fiberglass type resin, that had a high percentage of real glass, in it's mixture), these boards were most desirable, due to their durability as well as the light weight, yet strong, wood framework. This board stands, 24" tall x 12 1/2" wide x 1 1/2" thick and weighs in at, 4.2 pounds. Having been bought new and never used, this board is in excellent condition. The printing on the board is, sharp and clear. The wood and glass, are in great shape. Used as a wall ornament, for the past 58 plus years, this washboard has been incredibly preserved.
