Who knows how many people this book has turned into industrial brands and made them rich? "Fortunes in Formulas for Home, Farm, and Workshop" is a wonderful rare work from the 1940s, written in English and containing thousands of formulas.  

The book contains very valuable information as an introductory course for chemists or amateur inventors. For example; 

* Measuring systems (pounds, ounces etc.) 

* The subtleties of creating a useful workspace / laboratory. 

* Latin names of basic chemicals. 

* Scientific name and source of many materials (eg: caramel).

The product recipe of each, the necessary raw materials, quantities and easy-to-explain preparation recipe. There is also a very nice index section at the end of the book where you can search by product name.   The back of the original cloth skin is slightly worn but still in place.
