Rare Collectible Cookbook.
The White House Cookbook, A Comprehensive Encyclopedia of Information for the Home, was written by Hugo Ziemann and Mrs. F. L. Gillett
(A steward of the White House). It was published by The Saalfield Publishing Company, 1900.
Copyrights were 1887 by F. L. Gillett, 1894 and 1889 both by the Werner Company.
Condition: Hardcover book without dust jacket in well used condition. Early editions of this book are getting harder to find largely due to the fact that they were printed on low quality paper, and as it aged, making the pages brittle and susceptible to damage.
Book and pages are intact, shelf and edge wear, covers show fading and stains, soiling. Pages have extensive age discoloration.
We have had the privilege to have owned and sold a few different copies of this book. The exterior of this book is in good condition. It can still be used to read as well as be displayed as a wonderful collectible.
One of the top 10 all time cookbooks to add to a collection. We have a few in stock, please see our selection.
