VINTAGE WALL SHELF-Mid Century White and Gold-

Here's a wonderful small vintage wall shelf for your displays! It was likely created as a walnut "knick-knack" shelf in the 1940 to 1955 era, and because it has the "french" look, it was later (probably 1960's) painted in the provincial manner of creamy white and gold...this finish has now acquired lots of age, and has the true, shabby, cottage, french country look. The gilt is still present, but faded, the white has chipped genuinely off in places, the paint has cracked although it is still very stable, and the back of the shelf still reveals its original walnut color. Measures approximately 12" long by 6-3/4" wide, and the display shelf portion measures 4-3/4" wide by 2-3/4" deep. It has the original drilled hole at the top for hanging. If you want more weight on the shelf support, add an additional hanger.
