This vintage clamshell was manufactured in Japan during the 1930s - 1950s. The diorama features an interior scene of people in boats, ducks, people on shore under tree and a building in the background. The lid of the clamshell features a picture of pagoda, mountain and rickshaw. The designs are very intricately carved. The diorama is made of ivory-toned celluloid and measures 3" w x 2.25" d x 1.75" h. A wonderful display item or addition to your collection of dioramas!
