This antique piece of sheet music is "Mammy's Little Coal Black Rose" with lyrics by Raymond Egan and music by Richard A. Whiting in 1916. It was published in 1917 by Jerome H. Remick & Co., New York and Detroit. There is a photo of Henry Santrey (orchestra conductor). The artwork was by Starmer. The sheet music is oversized measuring 10 3/8" w x 13 5/8" h. A great piece to add to your Black Americana or ragtime music collection!
The sheet music is in fair to good condition: the front cover is almost split from the back, edges are worn and have tears and creases. Otherwise, no writing and music is readable / playable. It comes from a smoke-free environment. A great piece for framing or for a working copy to play from!
