RARE
antique tinnie medal is labeled "F.F.S. T. Gut Heil" and was given at a sporting competition in the late 1800s. It is missing the ribbon which would identify the city where it was handed out. The tinnie shows a shield with "F. F. S. T." on it, laurels on either side, a torch, a sword and a placard below with "Gut Heil". "FFST" stands for "Frisch und frei, stark und treu" and translates to "fresh and free, strong and faithful". "Gut Heil" translates to "Well, safe". The tinnie measures 2" w x 1 3/8" h (50.8 x 34.9 mm). While it is from an American-German society, a beautiful award tinnie to add to your fraternal, German history or military collection!
The tinnie is in excellent condition: it is missing the ribbon which either rotted or was never attached. No other damage or defects. Satisfaction guaranteed.
