This antique piece of sheet piece is "Rememb'ring" composed by The Duncan Sisters in 1923 and from "Topsy and Eva". The book the movie was adapted was written by Catherine C. Cushing (suggested by "Uncle Tom's Cabin" - Harriet Beecher Stowe). The music was published by Irving Berlin, Inc., New York and printed in 1924 per back cover. The chorus goes:

Remember the times we've had, dear,
Remember our vows so true,
Remember our kisses sweet, dear,
And don't forget that I love but you,
Remember my arms are aching,
To hold you close to me,
Rememb'ring is all I'll do, dear,
So try and remember too.
I'll remember you.

The song is in 3/4 time. The artwork was by P. M. Griffith. It is slightly oversized measuring: 9.25" w x 12.25" h. A great piece to add to your Black Americana or ragtime music collection!

The sheet music is in fair condition: spine was split but has been taped as well as a tear to front cover near the spine; it has a stamp of music store on front cover and some wear, soil and edge tears to pages. Otherwise, no writing inside or out. It is odor free. A great piece to frame or a good working copy.
