This vintage book is the young folk's edition of "Uncle Tom's Cabin" written by Harriet Beecher Stowe. It was published by M. A. Donohue, Chicago, during the early 1900's. There are black and white sketches throughout the book. The cover has a 4-color illustration of Uncle Tom and Little Eva. Uncle Tom's Cabin tells the story of Uncle Tom, an enslaved person, depicted as saintly and dignified, noble and steadfast in his beliefs. While being transported by boat to auction in New Orleans, Tom saves the life of Little Eva, an angelic and forgiving young girl, whose grateful father then purchases Tom. The book has 64 pages and measures 7 5/8" w x 10" h x 0.5 thick. A wonderful story of caring!

The book is in excellent condition: yellowed pages due to the type of paper; minimal edge wear. Otherwise, no writing, torn, missing or repaired pages. It is odor free. Satisfaction guaranteed.
