Two huge paintbrushes, one from the 1950's, back when I could lift them, let alone swipe them to and fro. The largest has a red and gray handle, a 5-3/4" x 1-3/4" block, wrapped in metal with the words, "VULCANIZED IN RUBBER". The handle is marked with words which I cannot read, on one side, and "6 U.S. Patns" on the other. The bristles are black with paint remnants at the ferrule. The bristles are semi flexible, more toward the tips, and somewhat shortened on one edge . The second brush has an unpainted wooden handle, measures 4" by 1 inch block with long, sable color bristles. The handle is marked Sears Weatherbeater on the metal ferrule, which is clean with only a few remnants of dried paint. This brush is likely from the 1970-80 period, has a hole for hanging and semi flexible bristles. The wood handle is marked on one side," Weatherbeater -One Coat Coverage"
