Exxceptional vintage 1930s Asian style embroidered silk crepe formal jacket or coat by Madelon NY Paris. The silk crepe fabric is outstanding and is only surpassed by the exquisite gold metal (Zardozi) and black silk thread embroidery. The pattern is gorgeous butterflies in all shapes and sizes as well as different perspectives and angles. It is silk lined and has a secret pocket on the inside. Size 2-4; condition excellent with some light stitching loss that needs re-tacking, light gold wire loss. This is from the Molly Brown Museum which unloaded some fabulous antique and vintage clothing, accessories, purses, shoes and jewelry in January. They had a total of 8 auctions each with over 400 items.
