Goose Decoy Solid Wood Signed

This excellent solid wood decoy of a full-bodied Canada goose was hand carved and signed by JA Labbe in 1992. With its neck extended and beak open, you can almost hear the sound of its honking call. Both the carving and the distressed paint job are superb, as is its condition, with no damage at all. The decoy has small, inset glass eyes and a flattened area on the bottom to keep it from rocking.

The goose measures 16 1/2 inches long, 9 1/2 inches tall to the top of its head and 5 1/2 inches across its back at the broadest point. It weighs 2 pounds, 5 ounces and is, as you can see, a very handsome decoy.
